Siamese Ponds Wilderness

The Siamese Ponds Wilderness area contains approximately 114,000 acres of state land within the Corridor towns of Johnsburg and Thurman, as well as adjacent towns in Hamilton County.  The wilderness area offers miles of back country cross-country skiing, hiking and snowshoeing trails, as well as opportunities for paddling on a number of lakes and ponds, and camping at a variety of primitive campsites and lean-tos.  Because it is a Wilderness area, snowmobiling and mountain biking are not allowed within the Siamese Ponds.
