Dude Ranches, Horseback Riding and Rodeos

During the 1920’s through the 1950’s, the Stony Creek, Lake Luzerne and Warrensburg areas were home to over 40 dude ranches, catering to tourists and taking advantage of the popularity of Hollywood’s western movies. Today, a number of rodeos, ranches and horseback riding stables still remain and offer a host of options for visitors.
